🌼🔬 Learning by doing in second grade! Ms. Cortina’s scientists got hands-on with a marigold experiment to investigate what plants need to survive. Through observation, exploration, and a little dirt on their hands, students discovered how plants depend on the right conditions to grow and thrive! 🌱💛 At Doyle, we love seeing curiosity bloom into learning! 💙😈

💻📚 Learning is at our fingertips in Ms. Sanzari’s kindergarten class at Doyle School! Our youngest Blue Devils are building their technology skills while engaging in interactive literacy and math activities through Savvas on their Chromebooks! From strengthening foundational reading skills to exploring essential math concepts, Ms. Sanzari’s cuties are developing the skills they need to grow, learn, and succeed.🌟

🎨PBIS PARTY WINNERS!🎃 Our 2nd graders earned a little extra fall fun! 🍂🏆 They had the most Dojo points out of all grade levels last month, and their hard work, positive choices, and commitment to following the Doyle Way paid off with a Paint-Your-Own-Pumpkin Party! 🧡 We loved seeing our 2nd graders get creative and celebrate their success! We wrapped up another Week of Respect this past week with our Blue Devils being reminded of the importance of kindness, empathy, inclusion, and treating others the way we want to be treated. Respect isn’t just for one week, though—it’s part of The Doyle Way every single day! Celebrating Our Positive Office Referral Raffle Winner! 🍦

Throughout the month, our students who received a Positive Office Referral were entered into our monthly raffle! A Positive Office Referral is a special way for staff members to recognize students who go above and beyond by demonstrating The Doyle Way, making thoughtful choices, showing kindness and respect, helping others, or contributing to our school community in a meaningful way. Every referral earned a student an opportunity to visit Ms. Schmitt in her office and have their name entered into the raffle, with one lucky Blue Devil selected as the month's raffle winner of a sweet gift card to Carvel. 🎉

This Friday, October 2nd, donate $1 and wear your favorite hat to school as we support the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, helping families facing childhood cancer.

🎭 Arts in Education Week: Day 5 — Theater! 💙

We’re wrapping up our Arts in Education Week celebration with THEATER! At Doyle, all of our homeroom teachers bring theater into their classrooms, giving students opportunities to tell stories, express themselves, build confidence, and shine. ✨

Today we’re spotlighting Mrs. Meghan Neumuller, one of our kindergarten teachers and a member of the Doyle family for 6 years! A theater major in college, Mrs. Neumuller loves community theater and believes teaching is an interactive performance where everyone gets to take part and shine. 🌟

We’re so lucky to have her helping our Blue Devils find their voice and take center stage! 🎭💙

💃 Arts in Education Week: Day 4 — Dance! 💙

Today we’re celebrating Dance at Doyle! From movement and rhythm to creativity and self-expression, dance gives our students another way to learn, create, and shine. ✨

Today we’re also spotlighting Mrs. Marion Sher! With 21 years in education and entering her sixth year at Doyle, Mrs. Sher brings her love of dance to our Blue Devil family. And fun fact—she owns a dance studio right around the corner in Hasbrouck Heights! 💃

Most importantly, Mrs. Sher wants every student to know that she will never give up on them and that every child deserves a chance to shine. 💙✨

🎨 Arts in Education Week: Day 3 — Art! 🎨 Today we’re celebrating Art and our amazing art teacher, Mrs. Melissa Jeffery! 💙 With 10 years in Wood-Ridge, Mrs. Jeffery helps our students take creative risks, try something new, and see the world through an artistic lens. We love that her classroom is a place where every student feels welcomed, valued, and accepted. ❤️ Thank you, Mrs. Jeffery, for helping our Blue Devils create, imagine, and believe in themselves! 🎨✨
