WOOD-RIDGE, NJ — The Wood-Ridge Board of Education honored its October Students of the Month at the Monday meeting held in the high school auditorium.
Each school administrator announced the student honorees from their building and posed for photos with the children for their parents.
Catherine E. Doyle School was presented by Principal Lara Schmitt, who recognized students focused on writing, or their writers of the month. She honored “those who demonstrate outstanding talent, effort, and interest in creative and informational writing. We belief that highlighting these young authors not only encourages them to keep pursuing this creative passion, but also fosters an appreciation for literacy."

Wood-Ridge Intermediate School students were presented by Principal Ryan Ann Guglielmotti. She explained the students were “are consistently demonstrating what it means to be a Blue Devil. They're showing respect, responsibility, kindness and pride in everything that they do. These students stand out not only for their character, but for their positive impact that they have on our school community."

Wood-Ridge Junior/Senior High School was presented by Principal Silvia Raguseo-Ruiz. She noted that the students were “nominated by their teachers for demonstrating exceptional effort, strong character, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.”
