WOOD-RIDGE, NJ — Each year, second grade students at C.E. Doyle School learn about litter control and the importance of recycling.
On Wednesday, April 15, 120 students were once again greeted by Laura Jean Checki from the Bergen County Health Department, who spoke about “reduce, reuse and recycle” and the significance of litter control and the environment. This program is all part of the Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful Committee's initiative on clean communities.
Councilman Ezio Altamura, Chairman of the KWRB Committee, along with Councilman Phil Romero introduced Checki and spoke about the importance of recycling and helping to Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful.
Altamura thanked Anthony Albro, Superintendent of Wood-Ridge Schools, Wood-Ridge Board President Albie Nieves, C.E. Doyle Principal, Lara Schmitt, Deputy Clerk Cathy Calabro, and all the teachers and students who made this presentation a success.
