Student Assistance Program

The student assistance program in Wood-Ridge School District offers confidential professional services to assist students who are struggling with a range of issues which negatively impact school performance. The Student Assistance Counselor (SAC) works with students and their families to provide a combination of supportive counseling, psycho-education, and referral services.  With the SAC, students can discuss a range of issues including:

  • Family Problems

  • Self-Esteem

  • Anger Management

  • Stress Management

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • Bullying

  • Relationship Issues (Friends, Dating, etc.)

  • Body Image

  • Drugs and Alcohol

  • Substance Use/Abuse
