    Tzu Chi Scholars 2022 - Tzu Chi Foundation is pleased to announce that its scholarship program, Tzu Chi Scholars 2022, is now accepting applications. Tzu Chi Scholars are selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. This is a nationwide program and each scholar will be awarded a total of $1,000.     The Helping Angels, Inc - A $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a female high school student. This competitive scholarship has been established for the purpose of helping female students who can demonstrate their potential to be a high academic student and future leader in a wide range of fields.     Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks - The New Jersey State Elks Assn Special Children's Committee Special Children's Scholarship Award is now available. Any and all high school seniors that are physically and/or mentally challenged and will be furthering their education after graduating from high school are qualified. Two four-year scholarships (one female, one male) worth up to $2,500 per year, and two four-year scholarships (one female, one male) worth up to $1,000 per year will be awarded.     National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. - A $6,000 scholarship is being offered to students from Bergen or Passaic County who are planning to major in education. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Deadline to apply is January 29, 2023.

    Bergen County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  - The Pearl Scholarship for African American Seniors is being offered grade 12 students in Bergen County residents of African American descent.     NJ Sharing Network  - NJ Sharing Network is pleased to announce the availability of multiple scholarships for 2023 graduating seniors.     Armenian Relief Society -Scholarships in the amount of $1000 will be awarded for the 2023-24 academic year to qualified high school students graduating in June, 2023.     New Jersey Schoolwomen's Club - The New Jersey Schoolwomen's Club is a group of women educators engaged in all aspects of public education in New Jersey. Any young woman who is a senior in a New Jersey high school and is a New Jersey resident is invited to apply.     The George F. Axt Memorial Fund -  The George F. Axt Memorial Fund will award four $2,500 nursing scholarships to students entering accredited nursing programs. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

    Office of the Bergen County Clerk - The Bergen County Clerk's Office is in search of high school students who continually strive to learn and better themselves within their communities in some fashion. The award winners will be chosen in March and receive a $500 check and a certificate from John S. Hogan Foundation recognizing their accomplishments. Students can send in an application, a letter of recommendation as well as any photo or videos showing the Bergen County Clerk's office indicating why they should be recognized for the Five-Star Student Award.     200 Clug of Bergen County - 200 Club of Bergen County Affiliation Scholarship is now open to students with an affiliation to police, fire, or emergency medical services. The application can be found and downloaded from the 200 Club website, www.200club.org under the "Scholarship"heading. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 5:00 PM.

    The Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County, Inc - The Kevin J. Duffy Memorial Scholarship Essay Contest is open to all graduating high school seniors in Bergen County planning to attend an institution of higher learning. Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office.

    Bergen County American Legion & Auxiliary Nurses Scholarship - The application submission deadline for the 2023 George F. Axt Memorial Fund Nurses Scholarship is March 31, 2023.     Bergen County New Jersey American Legion - The Bergen County American Legion Department of New Jersey Gene Howell/Don Holmes Scholarship is awarding three $500. scholarships. Please stop in the Guidance Office for further details.

    The Governor’s STEM Scholars application is now open for the 2023-2024 Class. The Governor’s STEM Scholars is provided at no cost to participants. It is open to New Jersey-based students who will be entering 10th grade in the Fall of 2023 through doctoral level, who have a proven passion for STEM, and a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The application will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023. All applicants will be notified by September 1, 2023 of their status. Please stop in the Guidance Office for further information.

    COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF NEW JERSEY JOHN J. AND HELEN M. DURANTE AND FAMILY CHARITABLE TRUST SCHOLARSHIP 2023 -  The John J. and Helen M. Durante and Family Charitable Trust Scholarship is awarded to an American born graduating high school senior who is pursuing a career in the building industry. Building industry related courses are any curriculum which prepares the student for a career in any facet of the building industry, including but not limited to, Drafting and Design, Construction Technology, Mechanical Contracting, Air Conditioning and Heating Technology, Real Estate and Marketing, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Design, Surveying, Civil or Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, Land Use Management, Construction Management, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Interior Design. The scholarship award of $4,000 will be distributed as follows:      

    • Installment 1 in the amount of $2,000 will be paid during the student’s first year of study (fall semester).  
    • Installment 2 in the amount of $2,000 will be distributed for credit to the student’s account for
      his/her second year of study (sophomore year) following receipt of a letter of request indicating
      community service work and/or name and contact information of employer, official transcript
      indicating major (building industry related), and proof of full-time enrollment as a student in
      good academic standing.
    Important Note: To qualify for the second installment of the scholarship the student must have
    maintained a “C” (2.0) or better grade point average. In addition, the student must be involved in
    community service (minimum of 15-20 hours per year) or holding a job.

    The Thornton Sisters Foundation - The Donald and Itasker Thornton Memorial Scholarship is providing scholarships to deserving grade 12 females of color. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Deadline to apply is May 7, 2023.

    American Society of Civil Engineers - ASCE is granting two $3,500 scholarships to graduating seniors who intend to pursue a college degree in civil engineering in the coming fall. Please visit www.ascenjb.org/applications for additional details and qualifications. 

    Scholarship America - The Metro NY Dunkin' Scholarship program will award ten $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational school in Fall of 2023.
