Welcome to Wood-Ridge High School Athletics
    Home of the Blue Devils
Welcome to Wood-Ridge High School's Athletics Home Page. We believe our athletic program teaches our athletes to learn a magnitude of important lessons and valuable fundamentals such as: ethics, abiding by the rules, coping with success as well as failure, respecting authority figures, and learning the importance of teamwork. Wood-Ridge Athletics provides opportunities where students may learn to cope with problems and handle situations similar to those encountered under conditions prevailing in the contemporary world.  Wood-Ridge athletes develop an understanding of the value of activities in a balanced educational process. Our athletic programs strive always for playing excellence that will produce winning teams within the bounds of good sportsmanship while enhancing the mental health of student-athletes.

    Statement of Philosophy
The Wood-Ridge Public School District is committed to providing a rich co-curricular program which encourages our students to grow as individuals and experience the importance of being a part of a team.  Participation in sports encourages students to become highly motivated both on and off the field, and is an essential component needed for students to learn the value of setting and obtaining goals. Furthermore, being a student-athlete encourages the learning of key life skills which include: sportsmanship, integrity, discipline, dedication, perseverance, and responsibility. The Wood-Ridge Junior/Senior High School Athletics Program fosters a sense of team, pride, fair-play and commitment in our students.
