• My name is Christina Valdes and I have had the pleasure of working as the School Social Worker on the Wood-Ridge Child Study Team since February of 2008. I serve as the case manager to special education students primarily preschool to fourth grade. My job responsibilities include ensuring that student's Individualized Education Plans are being implemented, meeting with parents to complete social assessments and much more! I am currently the Anti-Bullying Specialist at the Catherine E. Doyle School and work with the School Safely Team to ensure the investigation of HIB incidents and improving the school climate. I am a member of the Intervention and Referral Service Teams at all schools and work with other staff to implement strategies to help struggling students.
     
    My background includes a Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University with a major in Psychology and minor in Spanish. My Master's of Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families was also completed at Rutgers University.
